Becky Schmidt
Becky organizes the piano campers, works on scheduling and behind-the-scenes details with Laura Black, and teaches whatever is needed. In 2009, she taught the Kinderlab, a piano ensemble, a woodwind ensemble, and a beginning piano class.

She began teaching piano and saxophone lessons in 1989 as a high school junior. She graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. In 2005, she began teaching K-5 general music at Cooper Elementary. She is a member of Music Teachers National Assocation (MTNA) and MENC: The National Association for Music Education. She is also the organist and choir director at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

“Music is a passion of mine, but teaching is a necessity. At Camp Allegro, students really want to be there, and they are willing to learn. They want to try something new. I love helping them develop talents they already have, and explore other avenues to see where further talents may lie.”
